Camp Wa-Ri-Ki serves at risk children

Our recent demographic survey shows that we serve a percentage of lower income households.

Camp Wa-Ri-Ki is on its way to some exciting improvements in the year ahead including a new playground with treehouse; an archery range (both top requests in our recent growth survey); and a vision to construct a major new dining hall and lodge (a couple of years out).  We also have ongoing maintenance needs like a septic tank upgrade for the seventy year old system that will likely run into six figures.  So we need your help on #GivingTuesday.

Help Camp Wa-Ri-Ki by:

  • Join our “Sustaining Member Club” (quarterly gifts you may schedule securely to be paid with a credit card) on our donation page.  We are a 501(c)(3) organization which makes gifts eligible for tax deductions (consult a tax professional).  Our EIN is 23-7293852.  One time gifts welcome too, of course.
  • Enable a Payroll Deduction Gift, matched by your employerCharity Navigator advises that, “Many employers will match charitable donations made by their employees throughout the year. Often employers extend these matching programs to include gifts made through workplace giving campaigns. It is important for you to inquire about your employer’s matching criteria so that you can maximize the impact of your donation. For example, some employers double the impact of a donation by matching each dollar. ”  Check with your HR Department and designate Camp Wa-Ri-Ki.  For questions, contact our Director of Development, Barbara McCullough-Jones at barbara@campwariki.com.
  • Shop for Christmas items in our Online Camp store:  We have some very nice embroidered and screen printed hats, shirts, sweatshirts… with a special holiday savings coupon:  holiday-save
