“Sip and Support” Wa-Ri-Ki Wine Tasting Fundraiser a success… watch for Fall event at same venue.
Cheers! Good wine, music, and social mingling were enjoyed by thirty-five attendees including the Camp Wa-Ri-Ki board members and Kiwanis members at Cellar 55 Tasting Room on Tuesday, June 23rd at another of our bi-annual “Sip and Support” fundraising events. Approximately $500 was raised and we thank all our supporters and guests for that.
As you can see from our photo gallery here (below), an enjoyable night out was had enjoying the range of “boutique wines from Walla Walla and Eastern Washington” the Cellar features, plus live music by Marianne Flemming, known for her jazzy, bluesy sound.
Michael McNulty, Camp Board President, drew the winning door prizes with help of Sandy Hensley, also on the Board. Jamie Wick, Board Treasurer, with husband Brian helped with the admin. work, and Ken Rowe (Marketing chair on the Camp Board) with wife Alice (they’re celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary this summer) were among the crowd.
A special thank-you to the group of ladies from St. John’s Presbyterian Church who stopped in to enjoy the evening and show their support. They recently enjoyed a church retreat at Wa-Ri-Ki.
Michelle Brinning, Proprietor of Cellar 55, explained that the Cellar is open each day for wine tasting and features Happy Hour on Fridays (5-8) and Sundays (4-6) with an outside seating area perfect for the Summer weather.
