The Nature Explore Day Event at Camp Wa-Ri-Ki has been very popular and growing each year in attendees and fun things to do. We’re reposting some news and photos from past events as we plan for this year. With 3 Nature Explorer Camps completed, and our last one coming up on August 17th, 2016, we have had over 300 children and their parents join us at the camp and experience the outdoors!
This year our 4 NEC events where planned and coordinated by our 2016 Program Coordinator Desire Costello! She joined us this year after participating in the 2015 NEC event with her daughters. Our success has been a community effort, but it has been Desires’ passion for children and the importance of those children experiencing the outdoors, that has really brought it all together this year. Thank you to Desire and all our Kiwanis Members, Community Volunteers, Parents, Camp Personnel, Vendors, and Sponsors for the awesome summer!
